FBI, US Attorney announce $100,000 reward in 2004 murder of Alonzo Brooks
Alonzo Brooks, 23, attended a party at a house in a rural area outside of La Cygne, Kansas, on the night of April 3, 2004. Alonzo never made it back to his home in Gardner, Kansas. His family called authorities in Linn County, Kansas and the Linn County Sheriff’s Department launched a search. On May 1, 2004, Alonzo’s body was found in the brush of a creek in Linn County. An autopsy was not able to determine the cause of death. In June 2020, the FBI and the U.S. Attorney announced a $100,000
